Fully Funded Air Source Heat Pumps

Air source heat pump installations are fully funded — both the equipment and the installation — so they don't cost the property owner or tenant a penny. There are no contributions and no admin fees.

How does an air source heat pump work?

The air source heat pump absorbs heat from the outside air and converts this into a liquid refrigerant at a low temperature. Using electricity, the pump compresses the liquid to increase its temperature. It then condenses back into liquid to release stored heat. Heat is sent to your radiators, water storage tank or underfloor heating.

Fully Funded Solar Panels

Heat pumps run on electricity — so adding Solar PV is a natural next step. Your panels generate clean electricity from daylight that can help power your heat pump, lower your bills and reduce how much you draw from the grid.

Under ECO4, eligible homes can have solar panels installed at no cost — no contributions and no admin fees, just like your heat pump.
