Fully Funded Loft Insulation
Around a quarter of a home's heat can escape through an uninsulated roof. Loft insulation is one of the simplest and most cost-effective ways to keep that heat in — and under ECO4 it's fully funded, so eligible homes pay nothing for the materials or the installation.
Insulating a previously uninsulated loft could save a typical home around £260 a year on energy bills (Energy Saving Trust). Actual savings vary by property.
Do I qualify for free loft insulation?
Funding is aimed at lower-income households and those with a medical condition made worse by the cold. You may qualify if you:
- Receive means-tested benefits, or
- Have a total household income below £31,000, or
- Have a medical condition made worse by the cold
